The things that come up most often.
Nothing is changing when I open a site.
The in-app browser applies changes on the next page load, not to a page that's already open, so reload first. If it's still not working, check that the site is toggled on for that app in DoomOff's settings.
Tapping the app icon still opens the native app.
On Android, this means the "DoomOff Redirects" Accessibility permission isn't turned on yet. The app walks you through it under "Redirect the apps", one grant covers every site. On iPhone, it means the guided redirect Shortcut for that app hasn't been set up yet, or you've switched your redirect preference to Safari and haven't finished the Safari extension setup.
Can I use Safari instead of the in-app browser on iPhone?
Yes. It's optional, not required. In Settings, switch "Redirect opens" to Safari, then turn on the Safari extension under Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → DoomOff and allow it on each site. This is only available on iPhone; Android always uses the in-app browser.
A toggle stopped working after a site update.
These sites change their page structure regularly, which occasionally breaks a rule until DoomOff is updated to match. Email us with the site and the toggle and it goes to the front of the queue.
How do I get into a blocked app in an emergency?
Break glass unlocks every site for fifteen minutes. It's on the home screen of the app, and it's available once a day.
Why does LinkedIn's "sort by recent" only show instructions?
LinkedIn's chronological sort is an account-level setting stored on their servers, not something DoomOff can change for you. Turning that toggle on shows you the exact path to set it yourself. Once set, it stays set.
How do I cancel?
On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DoomOff → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DoomOff → Cancel. The current period runs to its end. Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or Google Play.
Does DoomOff work on iPad or Mac?
Not yet. DoomOff runs on iPhone and Android phones today.
